When should I take a pregnancy test?
Taking a pregnancy test too early can cause your test to result in a false negative. Ideally, you should take a pregnancy test two weeks after your missed period. When you come in for your appointment, our staff will make sure this is the right time for you to take a pregnancy test.
How does a pregnancy test work?
A pregnancy test determines whether you are pregnant by detecting the presence of hCG, the hormone associated with pregnancy.
This only takes a few minutes and you will have your results during your appointment.
What are my next steps?
After a positive pregnancy test, we will administer an ultrasound to verify your pregnancy, and determine how far along the pregnancy is, and that it is viable.
